Alpaca come from the South American camelid family, and are most populous in the Peruvian highlands at an altitude of 4,500 meters. For many of the families in this region, the sale of the alpaca fiber is the principal means of employment and survival; Alpacol proudly works with these farmers.

The Alpaca fleece is unmatched in its quality and warmth and is found in a broad array of natural colors, from black and browns to white. Alpaca is typically classified according to its natural qualities, ranging from Coarse Alpaca to Super Baby Alpaca. Alpacol works exclusively with Baby Alpaca for silky, soft, and durable clothing garments.
